Has God Indeed Said?
Some Scripture is outrageous and hard to believe. Like this verse for instance:
“For the earth will be filled
With the knowledge of the glory of the LORD,
As the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14 NKJV).
That’s crazy, isn’t it? In today’s world, can a Christian actually hope that “the knowledge of the glory of the LORD” will grow until it fills the earth?
Or what about this one:
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28 NKJV).
Could it really be true that “all things”—even our most difficult trials—“work together for [our] good”?
It’s easy to doubt. And Satan himself wants you to doubt. In fact, the first words out of Satan’s mouth were, “Has God indeed said…?” (Genesis 3:1 NKJV). And those words caused Eve to doubt.
When you read what God has said, lean in. Believe it. Even if it sounds too glorious.
What do you think?
