How To Abound With Blessings
A faithful man will abound with blessings,
But he who hastens to be rich will not go unpunished (Proverbs 28:20 NKJV).
You probably know the story of the tortoise and the hare. The slow and steady pace of the tortoise beats the hasty and erratic pace of the hare.
The verse above shows that this is how God made the world. It’s true for tortoises and hares. And it’s true for people.
Don’t chase every random opportunity. Dream big. And then faithfully and steadily move toward that dream.
Even if you already know the story of the tortoise and the hare, do your actions show that you know it?
I’ve found that in the long run, slow and steady tends to be more successful and it requires less work. It feels boring, but it also feels like a blessing.
And my hasty decisions have usually been exciting, but they have also been less successful and required more work. They felt like punishment.
