How To Keep Busy With Joy

“For he will not dwell unduly on the days of his life, because God keeps him busy with the joy of his heart” (Ecclesiastes 5:20 NKJV).

Imagine two men. One dwells unduly on the days of his life. He worries about the future. He gets anxious and wonders “What if…” this or “What if…” that.

The other man simply enjoys how God keeps him busy. He enjoys that God is his Savior so he doesn’t need to worry about tomorrow. He is busy with a joy that works its way from his heart out to his hands.

Let’s assume that both men finish the day equally productive. Which man is most relaxed around the dinner table that evening? Which man is a blessing to his wife and kids? Which man takes pleasure in the blessing that his wife and kids are to him?

And which man will more likely be more productive over his entire life?
