It seems men sometimes view their marriage and parenting as chores that need to be done. And once those are done, you can start doing what you really want to do. You probably know I don’t like that way of thinking.
If I tell you about my day job, but the real excitement in my voice comes out when I talk about my side hustle, you know what that usually means. I’m mentally trying to move myself out of my day job so I can eventually do my side hustle full time.
If that’s true about day jobs and side hustles, don’t talk that way about your family. If you do, you have things backwards.
What do you think?
