Row Like A Freeman
“The oars were now wielded by free men, and manfully they laboured;” (The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, 2012, p877).
After Legolas and Gimli arrive at Minas Tirith, they tell Pippin and Merry the story of how Aragorn led them through the Paths of the Dead.
Gimli makes a side comment above, but it stood out to me.
Free men and slaves can do the exact same work, but there is a difference in what they produce.
Are you living like a freeman or a slave?
What do you think?
