“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18 NKJV).
The Christian doesn’t “count it all joy” when he “falls into various trials” because he is a stoic. Christians are not indifferent to the ups and downs of life.
The Christian counts it all joy because today’s sufferings hardly compare to tomorrow's glory.
Today’s suffering is real suffering. But tomorrow’s glory is so much greater, that I can count it all joy even while I suffer.
Today’s suffering is painful, but when I compare it to tomorrow's glory, it isn’t an impossible mountain—it’s a speed bump.
What do you think?
Joseph
Very good analogy Joseph! I am going through a "speed bump " as you say medically, however I know this doesn't compare to my Glorious future with the Lord!
