Worship, Not Survival
Evolution Believers assume that survival is foundational to all life. But that’s wrong.
Man’s primary goal is not to survive, but to worship.
This hit home for me during the 2020 totalitarian lockdowns. I know that there were some people who were afraid for their lives. Yes, those people were focused on survival.
But I was surprised how many people cared less about their lives and more about being on good terms with the religion of secularism.
One’s status in the church of governmental power trumped everything.
How do you know if you’re worshiping rightly? Ask yourself what you fear.
Do you fear man?
“The fear of man brings a snare,
But whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe” (Proverbs 29:25 NKJV).
If you fear man, then expect a snare to be close by.
Or do you fear God?
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,
But fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Proverbs 1:7 NKJV).
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10 NKJV).
“The fear of the LORD prolongs days,
But the years of the wicked will be shortened” (Proverbs 10:27 NKJV).
The world will tell you that the fear of the LORD is a dreadful fear. But, for the believer, nothing is further from the truth. The fear of the LORD is full of blessings.
You’re going to worship something. Will you worship the gods who plan to snare you? Or the one true God whose right hand is full of pleasures forevermore (Psalm 16:11 NKJV).
What do you think?
